You've got a friend...

Maple is a shy doe who has never completely warmed up to us since joining our herd last fall.   She stands off to the side and watches but doesn't actively seek attention.

Today was hoof trimming day and when it came her turn she submitted quietly.  I glanced up to see her leaning her head on Bekah's shoulder while Bekah talked softly to her.   Even when I stepped back to get the camera she stayed there apparently taking comfort in Bekah's presence.

While Maple will never be the the attention seeker that Choc-o-latte or Confetti are, I think she is finally starting to see that humans can be her friend afterall.
