It's not often we get snow on the valley floor so waking up to even the lightest bit of snow was a thrill for the children. The goats and the dog were far less enthusiastic about it. And to be quite honest I wasn't all that enthusiastic about carrying bucket after bucket of hot water out to the goats and chickens either.
Why the hot water? It helps the goats keep their core temperature where it needs to be and it keeps both the goats and the chickens production from dropping quite as much too.
