Last night Maple surprised us with QUINTS! It was a hard kidding for her and she had to have help delivering all 5 of the babies.
The first two came out pretty easily but the last three were stuck and had to be detangled before they could be delievered.
The first kid born obviously had taken the brunt of all that squishing while maturing as his legs are badly deformed. He is a spunky little fellow though and has readily taken to the bottle. Born with him was a little tiny dark chocolate doe kid with a single spot of white on the top of her head. She was followed by a black buck kid with just a single spot of white on his head, then a flashy black & white doe kid and finally a buckskin buck kid the largest all of them all but not by much.
