Happy Year of the Goat!

According to the Chinese calendar this is the "Year of the Goat". So Happy Year of the Goat! May your bucks make you proud and your does be abundant producers!

Our four year old Nigerian Dwarf goat has been bread to a buck three times without success. This time we have locked both of them in one stall. We are at day 11 now.
I think that the problem lies with her and us. She is so subtle when she comes into heat. We need to do a better job of taking a buck over to her a couple times a day around the time she should be in heat to see how she reacts. I also think she may have a heat that lasts only hours. Hence the locking her up with a buck.
I too need her to kid before LA which will be in the beginning of July. It is cutting it pretty close.
