4/17/2011 2 Comments Good News & Bad NewsFirst the good news: Rita kidded on day 143 with TRIPLETS out of Mojo. Two does and a buck. None of them seem to have gotten their daddy's blue eyes but I am thrilled to finally have gotten some doe kids this year. In the picture they are left to right, 1st born doe kid, 2nd born buck kid, 3rd born doe kid. Right now the doe kid we are most likely to keep is the gold and white one simply because we don't have that color combo in our herd. *** CORRECTION *** Just had the kids out in the daylight for the first time since they were born and discovered that BOTH doe kids got Mojo's BLUE EYES after all! And in sad news, Mame's number one son, "Storm Chaser Blues" who we had planned to keep as a herd sire here on the ranch, died during the night of unknown causes. Of course the children were quite upset by the news of his untimely passing.

Congratulations on the beautiful kids! I'm so glad that you got some does! So sorry about losing a baby, though. That is really sad.

Yay for more babies! They are all so cute and congratulations on your baby girl learning how to milk! I hope one of mine are interested in helping with the milking. -Annie
